Sonometers Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : JL-GLE-11232
The Sonometers listing, SKU JL-GLE-11232, is a JaincoLab wooden sonometer for studying how the pitch of a vibrating wire depends on its length, tension and thickness. It measures 110 x 10 x 8.5 cm and carries a 60 cm resonance box with a scale, two steel wires of 0.4 mm and one of 0.8 mm, and three movable bridges for setting the vibrating length. Weights and a dynamometer set the tension, and tuning forks of 512, 480 and 440 Hz are used for resonance matching.

Sonometer experiments
Practicals with the sonometer include:
- Frequency of a stretched wire against its vibrating length
- Effect of tension on frequency, using the weights and the dynamometer
- Comparing the thin (0.4 mm) and thick (0.8 mm) wires
- Finding resonance with the 512, 480 and 440 Hz tuning forks
